Really quick: I’m working on organizing an EG meetup in the near future. I think it’d be fun to meet readers (and for readers to meet each other), have a casual chat, maybe a drink or two.

Still working out the details, but do me a favor and respond to this QUICK THREE-QUESTION SURVEY if you’re in San Francisco, the Bay Area, or willing to travel to San Francisco. Yeah? Cool thanks: http://bit.ly/Wrj3lw

Are we connected?

Sure, we’re pretty active on Facebook and Twitter, but by far, my favorite mode of (visually) communicating things is using Tumblr and Instagram.

How was your Christmas? Hope you had a wonderful, relaxing time with family and friends.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets a bit introspective around this time of year. It’s the perfect time to reset, plan ahead, and reflect on what you’ve managed to accomplish over the past twelve months.

So here’s today’s Ask The Readers question: What are your two biggest resolutions for 2013?

Happy Holidays! Hang with EG and 5&B

December 20, 2012

I wanted to wish you the happiest of holidays, in case we don’t talk until after Christmas. Like you, I’ll be spending lots of time with family and friends, and if I’m lucky, less time in front of my monitor. As much as I love running EG and Fifth&Brannan, I don’t step away from the computer and the work nearly as much as I should.

You should do the same! Turn off the electronics, and be present with those you love. Slow down, have actual conversations (without having to hit Send), eat a lot, take a walk. Reflect on the past year and quietly plan for the one to come.

You know… just in case the Mayans are wrong.

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard of Graduating Your Style. If not, it’s an eBook I released earlier in the year that helps readers take their style from clueless and uninspired to grown-man and classic.

There’s always been one thing that’s bugged me, however. It’s still a book. There are lots of things I can’t do when it comes to a published digital guide (like edit, update, or make changes to your existing copy, for example).

So, what’s one better than a killer eBook filled with resources you need?

A quick check-in and a few updates (Yes, I’m still alive)

April 18, 2012

Got a few emails this week asking “Where are you?”, “How come you haven’t been posting regularly lately?”, and “Are you still alive?”

Appreciate the concern, my friends, and I’m glad to know the absence of new content is noticed. That means you guys are reading and learning and getting good value out of EG, right?

So this is my check-in post. Not much meat in this one, but I thought it’d be a good idea to let you know what’s going on in my world.
