(Editor’s note: I’m putting together a new members-only site, the Cladright Association, a place where men can learn the ins and outs of dressing well. This will be the place where we dive deep and address the most pressing and confusing things about men’s style.

It’s going to be an incredible resource with so many benefits, and I’m beyond excited about it. I promise to tell you more very soon, but for now, sign up here and I’ll send over more information as soon as I have something worthy to show.)

EGQAHey gents,

As you may know, I receive a lot of style-related questions via comments and emails.

I always do my best to answer them individually, but sometimes I get several of the same questions, and it makes me think that more than a handful of you are wondering the same thing.

Every now and then, I’d like to answer these questions on EffortlessGentTV. This will give me a chance to step away from the keyboard and actually explain things in a more fluid way.

And hopefully with visuals (and my occasional long-windedness) it will make more sense. That cool with you?

Subscribe to EGTV and have these videos come straight to you.

“What can I wear with this casual blazer?”

In today’s episode, Miles asks what kind of tie he can wear with this new blazer he just bought. In addition, he wants to know what other items he can wear with it (e.g. what shoes, pants, shirts, etc.)

Well, the short answer is: Pretty much anything.

Watch the video for the more detailed answer.

I happen to have a very similar blazer, and I think it goes well with a lot of things, especially considering the fact that it’s such a fine stripe.

A little something extra for you to take home

I created this simple cheat sheet so you can see the types of shirts / pants / shoes I recommended Miles try. Keep in mind these are just two simple outfit examples.

There are countless options, and you’re not limited to these. I only provide these as a starting point. Think of this jacket as a blank canvas; you can wear it with practically anything, so experiment with different shirt colors, different color ginghams, different color chinos… you get the idea.

Do you like the format of EGQA?

I wanted this to be the quick and dirty sub-channel of EGTV. It exists to answer questions, and in order to quickly do so, I have to keep it sweet and simple. Are you guys okay with that?

Of course, I do this for you. So if you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments below!

Do you have a question you’d like to ask? Shoot me a note and maybe I’ll answer your question in the next EGQA episode.

I really like this trend, I will obviously going to buy one this season. I appreciate blazer and blue-jean; quite comfy and attractive, so trendy these days.
