Four Simple Style Tips for the Well-Built Man

July 25, 2013

There are plenty of resources out there that teach guys how to dress a tall / short / plump / skinny body type. Interestingly enough, there aren’t many articles talking about how to dress a muscular body. Well-built guys are presented with a unique set of fit issues that an average body may never experience.

Today’s guest writer, Manny, has plenty of experience with this, and he’s going to share with you buff guys some of the tidbits he picked up while developing his own personal style.

Take it away, Manny.

Hey Gents,

Welcome to the latest Sunday Shop update!

Sunday Shop is a (usually) bi-weekly update of the small business side of EG, as well as a chance for me to share any good deals I come across, products I think are worth a look, and site updates I feel you should know about.

EGQA Episode 1: What to wear with a blue and white striped sport coat

July 17, 2013

As you may know, I receive a lot of style-related questions via comments and emails. I always do my best to answer them individually, but sometimes I get several of the same questions, and it makes me think that more than a handful of you are wondering the same thing.

Interestingly enough, that’s why I started EG in the first place… to answer questions my friends asked me. If they were wondering it, others must wonder the same thing, right?

Every now and then, I’d like to answer these questions on EffortlessGentTV. This will give me a chance to step away from the keyboard and actually explain things in a more fluid way. And hopefully with visuals (and my occasional long-windedness) it will make more sense.

Click through to see the first episode of EGQA.

To ensure that doesn’t happen to you, I’m providing you with my list of suggestions for your first cigar.

Looks Over Quality: Six Affordable Alternatives to “Definitive” Shoes

July 3, 2013

Hey Gents,

A while back, I found this post on Bergdorf Goodman’s blog. The title of the post is Gentleman’s Guide to Definitive Shoes, and while I do agree with their selections, I wanted to come up with alternatives to the shoes they presented.

Why? Because while the individual shoe styles they present are great, they feature really, really expensive versions. Naturally, of course, since it’s Bergdorf. I don’t blame ‘em.

If you read through their article and like what you see, but can’t stomach the steep prices, here are some alternatives.
